Utilising the material properties of glass I reference ecological folklore and environmental experiences. Using this traditional craft medium, often found in religious settings, I aim to infuse new meaning into it, repurposing it to highlight and herald ecology as something sacred to be worshipped and protected. Light travels through the medium creating an environmental experience of the work. I use reclaimed, mudlarked glass, antique glass, fired pigments mixed with soil, lead and wood to create these works.
